Valentina Cafaro

Valentina obtained her law degree cum laude from the University “Roma Tre” of Rome.

She completed her traineeship at the Office of the Attorney General of the Italian Republic. She also completed an internship at the Court of Appeal of Rome and an internship at the Bank of Italy, ADR department.

Valentina joined S&P in 2018.

Valentina specializes in international law, civil law and criminal law, with a particular focus on national and international litigation in the field of human rights. She assists the firm in the representation of a wide range of clients before international courts, particularly the European Court of Human Rights.

She has solid experience in matters relating to fair trial guarantees in criminal and civil proceedings, prisoners’ rights (with a particular focus on detention conditions), presumption of innocence, right of defence, right to respect for private and family life, right to property and the protection of migrants and asylum seekers.

Her working languages are English and Italian.
