Lidia Vecchione graduated with honours in Law from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome in 2022, with a thesis on international human rights protection entitled “The protection of religious freedom under the European Convention on Human Rights” (supervisor: Prof. Pietro Pustorino). She is a member of the Bar of Torre Annunziata (NA).

In July 2024, she also obtained a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in Fashion Law from the LUISS School of Law, with a grade of 110/110 cum laude, discussing a thesis entitled “Fashion industry and human rights: towards a legally binding instrument to regulate the activities of transnational corporations and other enterprises”.

Since March 2023, she has been working on a permanent basis with the S&P international law firm, where she practises primarily in the fields of human rights, international law and civil law. She has gained experience, amongst other things, in applications to the European Court of Human Rights concerning violations of the right to a fair trial, the right to respect for private and family life, the right to property, the principle of legality in criminal matters and the principle of ne bis in idem.

She also deals with matters relating to disciplinary sanctions against notaries, proceedings concerning measures adopted by CONSOB and the Bank of Italy, as well as disputes concerning the application of the restrictive measures provided for in Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 and Regulation (EU) No 269/2014.
