Claudia Maria Malfer graduated in Law from the University of Trento in 2022 with top marks (110/110 cum laude) and a distinguished thesis. Her dissertation, adopting a multidisciplinary approach in European Union Law and Criminal Procedure, was entitled “The Dialogue between the European Court of Human Rights and National Legal Systems: Flexibility of Final Criminal Judgments, European Review, and Other Remedies from the Perspective of Enhanced Protection of Fundamental Rights.” She is currently admitted to the Rome Bar.

After completing her legal traineeship at a law firm primarily focused on criminal law, family law, and the law of persons and minors, she joined Studio S&P in 2023.

She practices in the field of domestic and international litigation in criminal law and human rights, with particular focus on proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights and other national and supranational jurisdictions.

Her work covers, among other areas, extradition, judicial cooperation in criminal matters, and immigration law; the protection of detainees’ rights and vulnerable individuals; as well as issues relating to fair trial guarantees, the presumption of innocence, the rights of the defence in criminal proceedings, and the principle of legality in criminal law.
